United Way and Vitalant partner to benefit the local Women’s Shelter- June
We are partnering for a toiletry and infant clothing drive to benefit local women’s shelters, as well as a blood drive, during the month of June. The public is invited to help us collect toiletries and give blood.
Hillsview Church of the Nazarene in Spearfish is hosting children events at the park – 1 June – 17 Aug
Fun in the Sun is a relaxed time to learn about God and have some fun along the way. Each week the children will learn about the Fruits of the Spirit through science lessons, object lessons, Scripture and craft time. Registration is strongly recommended. Journey Museum presents a “Songs from the Soil”- June 23 and “Battle of Greasy Grass” – June 25
Songs from the Soil is hosted by folk-singer, author, and rancher Eliza Blue, this presentation captures a slice of rural life through stories and songs.
Battle of Greasy Grass has Donovin Sprague back again to provide the Native American mindset of this storied conflict aka the Battle of Little Bighorn. Hear new info from Donovin's unpublished book on Chief Hump and Crazy Horse!

Cowboys for Christ is hosting Center of Nations Freedom Outreach- June 25-27
Center of the Nations Freedom Outreach will be Friday and Saturday June 25 & 26 @ 7pm and Sunday June 27 at 3:30pm. Events speakers are: Jed Hall - testimony of his amazing survival and recovery from an accident that cause 20 broken bones and related trauma. Along with Pastor Jerome Slides Off: Red Warriors Ministries - Making a difference on the Cheyenne River Reservation; a changed life is changing lives. Sunday will be Speakers: Martina Loobey of Sturgis: 2020 & 2021 Miss Rodeo South Dakota, Jim Thompson of Sturgis: Multiple Hall of Fame inductee, Regional and Nationally known radio personality and rodeo announcer. The Howie Ranch is hosting a “Freedom Rally” – July 3
This Free event will include a Pig Roast/Pot Luck at Howie Lake July 3rd from 10-2pm. Music, Testimonies, Abraham Lincoln will share stories about Founding Fathers, Elvis will sing, prayer tent & more. Bring a side dish/dessert as lunch will be at 1130.
Location is: 15372 antelope creek rd., Rapid City, SD 57703. It is 3.8 miles past Regional Airport on Hwy 44 east to Antelope Creek Rd.

American Legion Post 311 is hosting their Annual 4th of July Parade – July 4th
Post 311 of Piedmont, SD will be hosting there annual 4th of July parade on 4 July at 1200. Please come out and enjoy a day of celebration.

Friends of the Piedmont Valley Library Annual 4th of July Book Sale Fundraiser- July 4, 6-10
This event will run from 11 AM to 4 PM on July 4th. The sale will then resume on Tuesday the 6th, and be open during regular business hours until 1 PM on Saturday, July 10th. There will be a Silent Auction on Sunday only, but we will have bags of books for our usual suggested donation of $5 per bag through the rest of the week. Library is located at 111 2nd St. Piedmont, SD.

Bishop Joseph is hosting a Ministries 3-day Prophetic Healing Conference – July 9-11
The Prophetic Healing Conference for Friday will be in Spearfish at Calvary Temple Church at 6pm.  Saturday and Sunday the event will be in Rapid City at The Dove Christian Center.  There will be two sessions on Saturday and Sunday: Morning 930-1230 and evening at 5-8pm.  FMI please visit BJMI.us

Post 311 American Legion Monthly Dinner –July 10
American Legion presents our monthly steak night. Open to the public to come enjoy a great steak or chicken dinner from 5-7pm. Freedom Church is hosting a “Warrior Conference” – July 24
Freedom Church's Warrior's Conference is happening this July 24, 2021, at Freedom Church, 4813 S. Canyon Rd., Rapid City. This Conference is for all girls ages 10-15 and will run from 9:30AM - 3:00PM. Speakers, workshops, food and fellowship provided for only $20 per child. Black Hills Works flutter production will be performing "Uncontained" - July 29-31st
Uncontained: Beyond the Box is a timely and poignant collection of vignettes that humorously explore the literal and metaphorical way that individuals are boxed in. This relevant collection, explores relatable ambitions, limitations, advocacy, and the playful imagination of children. Come join us for this performance of Uncontained on July 29th, 30th, or 31st. Tickets are $16 for adults, and $8 for seniors and children. Production will be at the Performing Arts in Rapid City.
